Custom Laser Engraving
Laser engraving is basically engraving using a light beam. This method of engraving has endless possibilities and can be used on a variety of substrates. There are different types of laser engraving machines in the market today but the most common are Co2 lasers and fiber optic lasers. Most engraving shops invest in Co2 lasers as the variety of engraving jobs these lasers can accomplish covers the widest range of substrates. Fiber optic lasers are geared more toward metal and some types of plastic engraving. Mile High Laser Engraving has five Co2 lasers and two fiber optic lasers. We are one of a small handful of shops in the country with these capabilities and we can engrave and product mark on the widest variety of substrates. We can laser woods, plastics, metals, glass, leather, and a variety of other substrates.
Sand blasting & etching
Sand blasting has been around for a long time but it's still a tried and true method for marking on glass, bricks, some types of rock, and marble. Glass is the most common thing we mark with our sand blasting equipment. Things such as wine glasses, champagne flutes, rocks glasses, decanters, and liquor bottles of all sorts are best suited for our sand blasting services. We can do a light frosted etch or a deep sand carving depending on what your requirements are. We can also color fill our sand blasting with silver or gold if you want to add a little extra something special to the look of the glass. We work with individuals and corporations to create some pretty incredible sand etched gifts. Wine bottles are very popular on the corporate gifting side and we have customers that come back every year with large orders as giveaways to their customers and constituents.
UV color printing
UV color printing is a newer technology in the market that many are still discovering. It's pretty amazing and enables us to print full color on thousands of products from golf balls, to photos printed on acrylic, to name badges, and more. UV color printing works on wood, metal, glass, plastics, ceramic tile, and so much more! This is a digital printing method using special inks that are cured and dried as they are laid on a substrate using a uv light source. The colors are vivid and beautiful! When you need to add some razzle-dazzle to a product with full color customization nothing does it quite like uv printing. Our UV printer can print up to 16.5" wide by 24" tall. It's an on demand printer which means we can load it and start printing right away, for our customers that means quicker turn arounds on projects that used to take much longer.
